About PathStone

PathStone Corporation

Organized in 1969 — just one year after the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — PathStone Corporation, a not-for-profit community development and human service organization, was born in the midst of the nation’s civil rights and anti-poverty movement. Living into our mission to build individual and family economic and social self-sufficiency, PathStone offers comprehensive programs designed to provide access to safe, healthy and affordable housing; workforce development; education and health services; and financing to emerging small business entrepreneurs.

PathStone partners with local, state and national organizations committed to social and economic justice on behalf of low-income individuals and families. To advance our mission and effectively serve our participants, PathStone explores and confronts important social issues such as structural racism, economic disinvestment and societal obstacles to opportunity.

In an effort to advance our community understanding of the social issues impacting those we serve and the communities in which they live, PathStone is honored to welcome the Rev. Dr. Bernice A. King as our 2019 Thought Leader.
